My bulldog does that at times. I’ve yet to find a cause and usually rub my fingers along his gums/teeth to see if anything is there. Like yours, it lasts a couple hours and then stops.

Beef can be an issue. Try taking him off that for awhile and see if there’s a difference.

Have you done an MRI of his whole body to check for herniated discs? An MRI is the only way to properly diagnose.

Age? Jax used to always get sick in the car and there would always be vomiting. Couple things to try, make sure he has an empty stomach, Benadryl, ride in a car seat up high. Jax finally grew out of it (I think) but he is 11 now.
