I was feeding him 1 1/2 cups of Fromm puppy formula. 3 weeks post neuter I've started him on adult food. He is 32 pounds! Although his figure is stunning if I do say so myself.

Dante is now 10 months old and 3 weeks post neuter. Is it okay to cut him back to 1/2 cup of food twice a day? This means 1 cup per day. He eats Fromm. Pork & Applesauce to be more exact.
This is so sad. Deaf or not, at least he has a loving home where he will be taken care of and appreciated for his entire life. I remember while doing my research on Frenchie's before I bought mine that deafness is common among French Bulldogs with heads that are almost completely white, because...
I would take her to the vet. I would just be worried about a nerve or spinal chord injury at this point. Limping and the loss of bowel control could absolutely be related. Frenchies are prone to these types of injuries because of their short stature. It could be something as simple as jumping...
I would take him into a supervised class with a trainer. The sooner the better. My pup was being socialized with other dogs up to date on vaccinations as early as 15 weeks via puppy socialization classes. Let the trainer know your concerns going in.
Resorting to the head cage is almost like admitting defeat. And will prolong the training process. The sooner you break him of this the better. Get creative, loud noise worked great when warding off bad behavior for me. And be firm. My dog knows who's boss lol. Get him into a group training...
I know the vet has other Frenchie patients. I just know that there is certain protocols to follow when it comes to Brachy breeds. I want to cover all of my bases & not go in fully trusting my vet to do the right thing.
So Dante is now 7 1/2 Months & I've decided to do the big chop at 8 months. He hasn't displayed any unwanred behavior due to his hormones just yet.... Just marking at the dog park (on peoples shoes). He's also generally more aloof when we're out. Wonder what's going on in that head?! Anyway, as...
By sick -- i don't think they mean cold. Most likely they mean he could contract parvo virus, and many other deadly diseases that run the risk of affecting dogs who are not fully vaccinated. At that age they don't have the antibodies to fight off those diseases. I kept the puppy in the house...
I was told by the Fromm nutritionist to try to stick with the puppy formula until at least 7 months. Allergies in a frenchie that young are usually rare. Off topic, but davidh should chime in about the dangers of triflexis.
Dogs act differently when they're not in a neutral area. Dante seems to get a little more dominant in his own home when other dogs come over and vice versa. They're thinking "Hey, why are you here playing with all my stuff?" Dogs aren't inclined to share.
