Long time no see, and a health related question re: change in behavior

She's no longer on any pain meds. The change in behavior started before, and that's why I wanted to investigate with the vet. We stopped the pain meds yesterday morning, as there's no reason to give any to her. (She was only on pain meds from Sat night to Mon night) At this point if there's...

Long time no see, and a health related question re: change in behavior

Hi everyone, Not sure who may remember me here, but I used to be a little more active on this site back in 2015. (I had a pug and 2 Frenchies, hence the username) A lot has happened since then which has kind of pulled me away from this site, but now I'm back and asking for some help, as I'm at...

Well good grief...here we go again with Penelope's OTHER eye

I know, I should really tell the kennel, as there's no question that it did happen while she was there. I even gave them drops *just in case* she did get a scratch. Argh!

Well good grief...here we go again with Penelope's OTHER eye

Update: Her eye is already much better! The swelling has gone down, and it's less red inside. I'm actually kind of surprised how quickly it's getting better. (Not that I'm complaining!) Who knows what caused this. I'm just glad she's on the mend! :D

    Permanent Tracheostomy info

Wow, I didn't even know that tracheostomies were options for dogs? I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that your Louie won't need one!

New ower ! Blood in stool !! Help !

When he does get it, it'll last maybe 2 or 3 days tops? One time he had it worse than usual, but again, it cleared up on its own. Good thing is at least you had your pup checked by the vet and nothing *serious* is going on. I wonder if switching to a different food would help? Like others have...

New ower ! Blood in stool !! Help !

I've had this a couple of times with my male puppy, and we attributed it to him eating so many sticks and stuff out in the back yard. I'm sure he's getting scraped as whatever he's eaten is making its way out! Does your puppy do the same? Eat 'rough' things that could perhaps scrape him...

Well good grief...here we go again with Penelope's OTHER eye

I took my husband on a 1-week vacation to Vancouver Island to celebrate his 50th birthday, and when we tried to book our regular pet sitter, she was unavailable. So, we decided to board the two pups at a kennel that was lovely. Open spaces, they're not caged or cooped up all day, it's on a...

    Penelope howling for her brother

Normally Penelope doesn't make much noise. She whines here and there, she may growl when her and Fergus are playing, but she rarely (if ever) barks. However, she is a howler under certain circumstances. One of those circumstances is when her brother has to go somewhere without her (in this...

    Where do your frenchies sleep?

Our pug has been sleeping with us since last year after having to put our other pug down, and since getting the 2 Frenchies, overnight they were in 2 crates that I joined together to become one bigger one. However, now that I'm busier at work during the day and am at home less, I have to...

    I'm kind of freaking out...help

I was thinking... Could you perhaps get an x-ray done? That could ease your mind. Then you'd know whether something was still in there or not.
