Happy fourth, bullmama. I hope I am posting at the right place! We got the results of Thibaut's tests yesterday and it ruled out a couple of things: pyloric stenosis and hiatal hernia. His stomach lining appears a little thick and isn't emptying properly. The docs think this is causing him to reflux, then aspirate, then pneumonia! He has been placed on multiple meds to deal with reflux and stomach mobility. There is a GI specialist who will be attending a conference in Alabama in early August. He has agreed to see Thibaut, so we are hoping the meds will prevent more bouts of pneumonia until he can see him. I still think there is a chance it could be a hiatal hernia because I've been told it can be very difficult to detect, but maybe it's just wishful thinking. The vet school radiologist seemed confident that is not the problem. We see the vet again on Monday. Thanks so much for asking. I was going to post something last night but need to do the tutorial!
