Hi everyone,

I just wanted to express my gratitude for the feedback on my previous post. I'm seeking assistance with another skin-related issue concerning Myla. Currently, she's on Ultamino dog food as prescribed by the vet. She's been receiving baths every 3-4 days with medicated shampoos and is also on Apoquel. While she was previously receiving the cytopoint shot, I haven't been back to the vet since the end of December due to cost concerns. Although her skin has improved in some areas mentioned in my last post, the issue persists in her lower back/tail area, as shown in the attached image. I was using Pharmaseb mousse as a topical treatment, but I ran out and switched to Douxo to help with her itching. I'm uncertain if it has made a difference yet. Have any of you encountered similar issues with your Frenchies? Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What is the diagnosis from the vet? @Cbrugs .. do you think Nustock would help?

As asked above, any diagnosis? Nustock could potentially help but I would want to know what the cause was and if it would be recurring. It could be food related.

I have a 4 year old frenchie that has suffered from bumpy skin over the last couple of months. Behind the fir it’s crusty then the fur comes away leaving patches. It’s not itchy but sometimes looks sore. I took him to the vets and they prescribed steroids but still didn’t go. I’ve been giving him antihistamine’s but still no change. He has had life style grain free food wet and dry for about 3 years and the same treats so nothing has changed. Anyone else with a similar problem before i take him back to the vets? Thank you in advance.

I replied to you on another thread

Baby oil for ear mites that worked for me. These little guys get food allergies easy so NO hot dogs or bread with seeds. Give them green apples everyday. Friskies salmon catfood

Hello,
My Frenchie is having the same issue. I took him to the vet and they tried 2 different antibiotics and other allergy meds, which did not work. So they referred me to a dermatologist and they think its an autoimmune disease called Pemphigus. But I have not had it confirmed yet because I would have to put my boy under general anesthesia (which I am not thrilled about). Have you gotten any other information yet? and is your Frenchie any better?
