Anxiety Medication

Our 6 year old Frank gets super amped up when our 15 month old grandson is around. He is very good with our grandson, very gentle, but is over the top amped, running around and panting and won't settle down. He also exhibits this behavior when there is a lot of activity in our neighborhood (we live near a college campus so on game days there's a lot of street traffic).

Our vet prescribed Trazadone, but even at the highest dose it doesn't seem to have any effect other than to make him cough / choke quite a bit for a day or two after dosing him. Any recommendations on other medications or supplements that have worked well for this group?

Hey there... i would not do the trazadone, it is more for pain (makes them sleepy), but obviously, it is not working on your guy. Think is adrenaline will override the influence of the drug.

I have NOT tried this product, but it has good reviews.
