I have my first French bulldog after a long line of Boston Terriers. He has severe separation anxiety. When I put him in the crate, he drools and licks the wire until his bed, the floor, and his body is covered in drool. I put pet music on and put a lick pad in. I currently feed him in his crate to give positive feelings about his crate. I’ve tried short periods of time, but I’m having no luck. I do also give him trazodone and it lessens the anxiety, but not completely. I feel trapped in my home. Any suggestions for helping him, overcome his anxiety would be appreciated. Thank you.

I’m going through this with a senior rescue we just took in and our 2 yr old Frenchie ( he is struggling due to loss of Cheli). . we hired a pet walker that comes in once a day, plays with them for about 30 mins. So, with our schedules , pups are never alone more than four hours. TV is left on and a few safe toys in crate. It helps but hasn’t stopped
