Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I posted but we have a new addition to the family and her name is Nala :) She just turned 10 months and she's a big girl ( 30 pounds ). All in all she's great with Meeka who is now two years old and still tiny ( 18 pounds ) the only two problems I've noticed is that when it comes to feeding time she constantly bully's Meeka so she can't get to her food and at time's even snaps at her. They have the same food besides different portions. I even upped Nala food thinking she was just hungry and wanted more but that didn't help. 90% of the time I can watch them but not all the time. Anyone have any idea's how to break Nala habit of bullying Meeka ?

Also I don't know if it's related but let's say if someone knocks at the door or it's a thunderstorm and that spooked the girls. While if Meeka barks at all that make's Nala like upset and she barks and like body checks Meeka to make her stop.

I know it sounds bad but besides that they are the best of friends. They sleep together, play for hours with each other and even walk side by side so it's not like they hate on each other just a couple thing's I would like to get ironed out..

Thanks for reading !

Maybe feed them separately?

I agree, feed them in separate rooms or stand between their food bowls and police them while they eat.

Enjoy those girls!

Yep, like the others have said, feed in separate areas, or if one is crate trained you can feed in the crate. A firm No when the pup acts up at a door knock too.

I agree, feed the separately, either in their crates, or separate rooms. When one backs, tell them NO, and let them it is not accepted. This should help with that problem. Anytime you see one getting a little rough with the other, just stop the activity and let them know it's not allowed. Congrats on your new addition.

I would definetly feed seperate... make one wait while the other eats or feed one in a crate as suggested
