Bladder Stones, Urethrostomy Procedure Question.

Hello, our 7 year old male frenchie has been diagnosed today with 4 bladder stones in his urethra. Our Vet has urgently recommended immediate surgery at a 24-hour emergency hospital to have the stones flushed back into the bladder then removed. He is still able to urinate small amounts frequently and does not appear to be in any evident pain. We do not want him to suffer and know this issue has to be addressed immediately. Our question is this; has anyone had the alternate Urethrostomy procedure done with their frenchie, and if so, please lets us know asap what the results were and any other useful information.
