Calcium alternatives

Hi all, it has been a while I last posted. If any of you still remembers Boxy is allergic to chicken. I recently added 2 more frenchies and these 2 are allergic to chicken too. I have been feeding raw beef with grounded eggshells for calcium substituting for bones.

There are 3 dogs requiring the calcium and my eggshells supplies just couldn't keep up to the demand. I would like to know what other natural calcium alternative I could add to the beef?

Maybe see if you can get a good quality bone meal.
Also, make sure you add organ meat. Im sure you're already doing this though

Actually heart is not considered organ meat. (Its a muscle).
You need to add organ meat (10% of the diet),otherwise your dogs will be missing out on key nutrients. Liver for example is a very important organ to feed, because it's the only way your dogs will be getting essential Vitamin D3.

It is awesome that you feed fresh & Im sure your dogs are very grateful, but make sure the diet you're providing doesnt lack anything

Unfortunately cooking does destroy most nutrients.
Id give it raw. But it shouldnt exceed 10% of their main diet.

Hi @Rudi! Look into Animal Essentials Seaweed Calcium. They carry it on Amazon and Chewy, but your pet store might have it as well.
