Hi everyone,
Went out today to pick up 7-week-old pup, and ended up getting his brother, too. I realize now that the crate they're in is way too big (36in long). Their bed (where they both fit comfortably) takes up half the space, but I just discovered they will pee and poop in the other half. I halfway expected this and had even put a pad in there, in case they had to go in the middle of the night. But I just read that this is a terrible idea and that I need a smaller crate. Problem is, I really need to know exactly what size is right, and whether they should each have their own crate. (The pups seem to be standard size for their age.) If someone could recommend a specific item available at PetSmart or even Walmart, I'd like to go pick it up first thing in the morning.
Thanks for any advice!

Many crates have a divider to reduce the amount of interior space.

Is that an option with yours?

Sure is, and it sounds like a great option. I think we're going to order two 24" iCrates. Everything I've read (since making my original post) says we should crate (and train) them separately to prevent them from "super-bonding" with each other. Should have them on Monday...

Thanks for replying!

Even if yours doesn't come with a divider, you can probably order one that will work. That's what I did, it took some rigging, but worked fine. They'll grow quicky, so it's the better option, imo.

Edit: oops. Late reply :p
