For those who feed Orijen...

How long does a 28lb bag tend to last you? And do you have an adult or puppy? I am trying to approximate how often I will need to replenish my pup's food supply. Thanks!

I get the 15 lb bag and it last 4 weeks and also feed 2 Chi's also with same bag. Rosie gets 1 cup a day and the Chi's get each 1/2 cup daily. Don't buy too much to where you have to store it for longer than a months time.

 

[Bonus]

We only buy small bags of Orijen Puppy( around 5lbs)
Bonus gets 1 cup per day and it normally only lasts no more than 2 weeks.

Hmm, I don't want to get a small bag that will only last a couple of weeks, I'd prefer getting a month's worth and storing properly as that's what I do for my current dog. Maybe I will try the 15lb bag, even though the largest is usually the most economical.

Thanks for the article! We have a large freezer in our garage and store our food in the bag, in a container, in the freezer. So I think we are safe to get a month's worth of food continuing with this method! Great read!
