Hives

Hi friends! Norman has been getting hive like bumps all over his face the past week. It started around his eyes and now it’s all over his face. I’ve never seen it like this before, usually when he hAs an allergic reaction his eyes swell and he also gets bigger hives around his face. Any idea on what could cause this!? He’s currently eating the honest kitchen zeal formula and getting medicated baths! Any advice would help! He doesn’t seem to be bothered and when I gave him benedryl yesterday it didn’t do anything to his skin.

That looks very similar (smaller bumps) to the bumps one of my Dogs would get when he was having trouble with allergies. He would get them on his head and on his torso. We would treat with medication from vet and medicatied shampoo. He would get this two to three times a year. He never seemed that bothered by it; he wouldn’t scratch himself. For whatever reason, he stopped getting them at about age 8. Good luck and probably good idea to see vet or allergy specialist.

That could be mange, if under a year old, but over a year.. staph infection— vet visit needed to scrape and confirm
