Hi,
I’m looking for a bit of advice if possible. We have a 5 month brindle Frenchie who we are crate training. We have had him for nearly 4 weeks. Recently we have installed a camera to watch him during the day. He seems quite unhappy in the crate, jumping, barking etc. He is great at night and seems settled. Should I persevere with the crate in the day?

Hmmm; I would keep up with the crate training. You will be glad someday that you did. Again, how long is he in there at a stretch? Can you give him a kong with something good inside or a Himalaya chew that will keep him occupied?

Are you able to hire someone that could come in and take him for a walk in the middle of the day?

I'm a big believer in crate training and not using pee pads, but I also don't work outside the home, or have to leave my pup alone for more than 2-3 hours.

He is probably just bored and lonesome. I'd stick with the crate training and like Frenchie Girl said get someone to break up his day with a walk!

Give him some safe toys, bones and a t-shirt with your scent on it ... that will keep him occupied and settled

:welcome3: to FBN
