Aloha everyone, I have my baby Lola we just got her a few weeks ago she was 14 weeks and now she is 16 and she is the most amazing newest addition to our family we could ever ask for. Now she is worrying me though, she can’t seem to hold down her food and it seems she is now starting to regurgitate her food maybe an hour to many hours after she has eaten and we can’t figure out why. Her breeder we got her from, gave us a large ziplock of the food he gives his dogs and it was just regular Costco dog food so I slowly started mixing in my food I give my Pomeranian (Merrick small breed) and she was doing fine. It all happened a few days ago and I noticed it was around the same time I switched her over to my food fully without mixing in her old food, she started to regurgitate. She has now been doing this for the past 3 days and it’s getting me really really worried I even went to petco twice to get two different types of kibble as I read it might be maybe to high protein in the Merrick so I got her the blue buffalo first which I gave her yesterday for dinner and she loved it and she held it from 8 last night til we went sleep but when I woke up I found that she actually did regurgitate the food but it looked to be a lil more digested than the Merrick kibble. So today I went to petco again and got her two cans of whole hearty broiled chicken that’s what the worker recommended and also another bag of kibble they recommended (taste of wild) for puppies so I got her that and came home for lunch and gave her a small handful of the new food and she wouldn’t eat it so I mixed in just a lil of the broiled chicken and she ended up eating it all then hour later she threw up in her cage all the kibble bits were there but no chicken which i think might’ve been a good sign that she is holding something down. Does anyone have any other ideas on what I could try for her? I’m really trying not to take her to our local vet as we don’t have much here on our island and we definitely don’t have any French bull dog specialists here. Please help my baby Lola. Much mahalo and aloha for all your help.
