My one year old frenchie has diarrhea with blood

Hello, I have a one year old male Frenchie and I got him 4 weeks ago. He came with diarrhea with blood. Went to vet already 3 times, blood test ok, stool test ok, they change his food, gave antibiotics twice and still with diarrhea with blood. He eats well, play, etc. I don't know what to do anymore. Can somebody also recomend a good pet insurance and a good vet specialized in dog gastroenterology in Miami. Thanks.

What are you feeding? Brand and protein? Did vet test for giardia?

Mine was like this as a pup. The vet said she had a parasite, treated her, but it still happened. I changed her diet to cooked rice, chicken, carrots, pumpkin, and 1/2 tsp of Benefiber no flavor, and she got over it. The vet recommended the Benefiber.

Sounds like stress colitis. Have your pup evaluated for anxiety .. one of my dogs ( different breed is on fluoxetine) it has helped tremendously ! For occasional bouts of diarrhea I give Endosorb it’s OTC and available through Chewys online . This also helps with Frenchie gas. Good luck frenchies are known for high anxiety!

That happened with mine. He had Giardia and it took a few months to clear up. He needed antibiotics and to this day I feed him a spoonful of pumpkin as a topper on top of his Dr. Marty’s food.
