I’d like to say Hi, I’m a new member, I don’t have a frenchie as yet, as my last one sadly passed away last April due to IVDD, I miss him terribly, as he was my special guy, and he was only 3. I know I can’t replace him , but I’m ready now to home a new Frenchie and have some fun, and show love all over again to another amazing dog.
I’m interested in any help or advice on how I can overcome my anxiety when obtaining a new Frenchie
If Anyone who has been in my position with the IVDD
I would love to hear your stories and help with moving forward.
Thankyou
Debbie

How did he pass away at only 3 years old? Our male has IVDD surgery and still occasionally has symptoms, but we treat it and thankfully he’s still doing pretty well.

Welcome to FBN!

It can happen again but it doesn’t mean it will be as severe.

Make sure you are buying from a health conscious breeder, that doesn’t guarantee it won’t happen but it’s a better chance. Also get pet insurance on day one BEFORE any vet appointments
