Just wondering what everyone's opinion on grain free kibble is. I have read some opinions where people think it is the best way to go and others that think there is no reason to feed grain free if the dog has no grain allergies. If the dog has no grain allergies, are there any benefits to feeding grain free (and I already know that corn, wheat and soy are bad).

We feed FROMM 4 star grain free, just because I don't want them to have grains and it is a good food.

I do both grain and grain free but my babies do best on the grain free. I also use the Fromm, right now my favorites are the beef Fritatta and the lamb & lentil.

I feed Horizon Pulsar grain free Fish formula. My dogs have nice shiny healthy coats and good BM's. I think grains are cheap fillers for dog food and don't provide much nutrition.

I was looking at the Grimm lamb and lentil and thought the protein content was a bit high. Your pups don't have any issues with that?

I feed Fromm Lamb and Lentil right now, but also use Fromm Pork and Peas...... my guys do real well on it and a 26lb bag lasts about 6 weeks. I only feed 1/2 cup per meal 2x a day for my Frenchie and a cup for my EB

Your guys don't have issues with the high protein in the lamb and lentil? Last time Jax had a high protein kibble, he had trouble in the pooping department.

No, in fact it is better as they only go once, maybe twice a day and it is always firm. I have noticed a difference with Lamb/Lentil in the amount (less). but more frequent.... my EB is still just once a day, but less volume. Cheli is three smaller piles.
