So, Carrot has been on Small Batch dog food for a few weeks now. She loves it, but then again, she loves ALL FOOD! It's dehydrated raw. Carrot has always been on the slender side, but it looks like she's even skinnier than normal since she started eating Small Batch. Is it normal for dogs to lose weight on a raw diet? I know they absorb more of the food on raw, unlike kibble which just goes through their systems. She only poo's once a day now (as opposed to 3-4 times on kibble) and she's ALWAYS hungry. But, again, this is normal for Carrot. Just wondering if I should feed her more? The bag says a 20 pound dog should get 8 dehydrated discs a day. Carrot is now 19 pounds. Before the raw switch, she was hovering around 20-21 pounds.

Pooping once a day on raw is totally normal. Jax would probably eat 24 hours a day if I let him. You can try to increase his food intake and see how he does. If he is highly active, he might need more. Also, not sure about dehydrated raw but with regular raw, "they" suggest you start at by feeding 2% of body weight and then go from there. So he may just need more.

Lambo lost few lb when he started on his raw diet but he was a lot energetic.

It's really hard to figure out how much to give of the dehydrated raw since it's so much more condensed than regular raw. Did you increase Lambo's intake or after awhile, did Lambo regain the weight?
