He has really itchy ears at times and he has these scabs in them, does anybody know what this is? 6BB0E9F6-4A14-47D0-A06A-D6020FC858B0.webp6BB0E9F6-4A14-47D0-A06A-D6020FC858B0.webp

I wonder if the scabs are from him scratching them. Might want to take to a vet to look inside and see if there is an infection.

Possibly, I’ll have a word with the vet on Monday, he’s just had a mast cell tumor removed and surgery to fix his hernia

Agree... they look like scratches from itching

Also any idea what these little scabs on his paws are caused by? He gets really itchy paws

I did change food, I’ve always gone with country hunter raw nuggets, and every single one of those has peas in, maybe he’s allergic to peas

It is possible, what was the need for the change? I would avoid chicken too, that seems to be a common problem for bulldogs

He’s had itchiness for a while that’s why I changed from natures menu country hunter, gonna see how he gets on with this new food for a few weeks, before natures menu he was on some cheap kibble and his face swelled up but this time it’s just itchy paws and ears

I’ve been looking and here in the UK the top rated food is Luna&me, it’s another raw food brand and none of their formulas have peas in so I might give that a go to see if it can sort him out. This is the ingredients

85% Duck & Bone, Duck Liver, Duck Heart, Butternut Squash, Carrot, Apple, Spinach, Kale, Salmon Oil, Sea Kelp, Coconut Oil, Spirulina, Brewers Yeast, Chicory Root, Bilberry, Wheatgrass, Goji Berry, Chia Seeds.

Witch Hazel is a drying agent so need to wipe after using.

Would you clean it with a witch hazel soaked cotton pad, then wipe it dry with a dry cotton pad then?

Oops...autocorrect. No need to dry after using witch Hazel. Is the tail pocket infected or just those scabs?
