Jake is now 8 years old-is this too old for a baby sister? He has been alone since our 95 lb. boxer/bulldog ( age 15) passed four years ago and has gotten used to the attention of being an only child!

I feel like that kinda thing all depends on the dog. just because he lost his friend doesn't make me think to get an 8 year old Frenchie a puppy. maybe someone closer to his age with less energy. my 4 year old male is over his own puppies in ten minutes of being around them. but if you think he still has the energy and spunk to deal with a puppy without getting aggressive then go for it but be careful you don't get stuck with a puppy your male doesn't like. that can be stressful and you hardly ever recoup the amount paid out if you have to rehome the puppy. I hope this was helpful.
