Hi guys, hope you and your little Frenchies are well. I really need some help and advice please.
I have a little Frenchie I believe she is 2 1/2 now, I’ve had her for about three months now and I show all the love in the world but she just keeps urinating and pooping in the house. She does do it outside, but she also comes in and does it straight after she’s been outside.
Put puppy pads down and I encourage her when she’s been outside and I given her treats praise !! I even put on an excited voice to get excited because I know she reacts to me being happy. I’m at breaking point with her., she will go outside and then just come straight back in and wee or poo on the floor, almost 3 or four times a day,
I’ve tried interrupting her when she’s going to the toilet and putting her outside, but she will stand next to the puppy pad to do a wee or a poo.
I love her, but she’s ruining my house. Can anyone give me any advice.
As you can see she’s a beautiful little girl but I’m at breaking point.

Thank you in advance for any feedback I may receive.

We went through the same with our guy , he is now 14, but the first two years were incredibly difficult with potty training. Stay consistent and keep a set schedule.

Also, you say you have had her a few months… if a rescue, it take three full months for them to adjust and decompress.

Really appreciate you guys sharing these posts. I am a new Frenchie owner as of Saturday. She is 3 yrs old...got her from a reputable breeder. She's absolutely adorable! But the peeing! breeder told me she was crate trained....and that does seem to be the case. Of course, I expected some accidents being in a totally new environment. She is peeing and pooping outside but has been also been peeing in different arears in the condo, outside her crate. I was at a breaking point too because I live by myself and pretty neat and clean. person. It does help to know others have been through this. Thank you. I'll hang in there....keep at it...try to have set schedule etc. Any tips, please send my way. THANK YOU! Dave

Since she is a rehome, it will take a lot of work to get her adjusted. Use a high value treat when potty outside and only use that type of treat for that reason.

Our current two year old was a nightmare for about 6 months, then one day we realized he was fully trained for outside. We used freeze dried duck treats for him. He began going outside and would go right to that jar location almost like telling us.. see I did it right , now give me my duck treat! 😂

Thank you so much for sharing that. It's been a struggle but she's coming along. I'll be out today getting the duck treats.

Duck worked for him.. you may have to use something else but remember until fully trained that treat is only for outside potty
