I was just curious as to what everyone uses for KONG-stuffing.

Considering the many dietary sensitivities that french bulldogs can have, I had thought that I might simply freeze healthy canned foods, treats or perhaps low sodium broth.

I know that some heartier, larger breeds are able to handle and digest things such as peanut butter and spray cheese, but I don't think I'd be comfortable with that.
Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Peanut butter works pretty well, also a little cheese won't hurt.

My EB is allergic to so many foods, I don't stuff kongs, but will frozen green beans fit in one? I think veggies would be less messy and good for them!

I'm sure they would! Maybe a mixture of those with broth would be a good idea.

I used peanut butter for Jax.

I use one of the following..... peanut butter (low fat), cream cheese (fat free) or banana.... I tried yogurt ONCE, what a freakin mess that turned out to be

I've heard freezing the peanut butter in the kong isn't as messy and it lasts longer.

we use some peanut butter in our kong for fiona. she loves it.

I mix a layer of banana and then a little peanut butter and then more banana and a little peanut butter and then freeze it.

Hudson gets peanut butter, but only the salt free variety. His PB is one ingredient -- peanuts.

Awesome. Is it also light on sugar? Where could I buy it?

It doesn't have any added sugar as it is literally just peanuts. I am very salt sensitive and can only eat this kind of peanut butter, and I don't see much of a reason why a dog should eat salted anything so it's convenient since I already buy it haha. He has his own jar for sanitation reasons (I tend to double dip the knife to fill the kong -- no thanks on that PB for me!).

I get it at any grocery store, if you have a trader joes they have both crunchy and smooth. Whole foods has a good selection. Just look at the ingredients -- it really should only have one (peanuts).

That "PB" that kong makes in the squirt tubes has sooo many additives, I couldn't believe it when I read the ingredients at the pet store!

Great, I'll pick some up.

Just put their kibbles in there......no need for extras and they love grabbing the kong and the kibbles that fall out!

Cream cheese and freeze it for an hour, great summer treat!

Try putting in the kibble he eats wetting it down so it expands cover the bottom with tin foil then put in your freezer. This will give him entertainment and keep them busy for awhile. Really good on a hot day and for any teething puppies.
