Currently I am feeding Bentley Orijen Puppy. I figured once I finish this 15 pound bag I would switch to regular Orijen. But I'm afraid he still may be too young.
At approximately what age did everyone switch to "adult" food?
I've heard it's usually around the one year mark. But that seems like too long to keep him on puppy diet. He is getting a NuVet once a day as well.
But I would like to start switching him up with different types or Orijen foods to vary his diet occasionally.

Thank you.

I switched Isabelle at 8 months to the "all stage" Fromm.

She was on Blue and I really wanted her off of it, so I just went ahead and switched.

Titan was sickly, so he switched at 7 months as per the vets instructions.

I've been slowly switching Bentley from royal canin to total Orijen. Basically finishing a 20lb bag of royal canin 50/50 with Orijen puppy. But I'm just wondering when I should switch to a regular "adult" blend of Orijen. I like that they have a bunch of different types so I can switch up his food through the day, week or month.

We transitioned at 10 months from Blue Wilderness to 50% raw/ 50% kibble. We interchange between Lotus, Go, Now, taste of the wild, origen, and acana. All grain free options. I've read keeping the proteins and kibbles changing helps prevent food allergies overtime. Luckily, the change doesn't affect his stomach, bur every dog is different.

Bisou transitioned to adult food around 8-9 months. I switched early for the same reason - there were so many more flavors of adult food than puppy food! I have my girls on a rotational feeding diet where they change flavors every 3-6 weeks. I transition them over 2-3 meals so it's not too harsh on their stomach, but there have been a couple times where the food ran out before I had a chance to transition them and they had one flavor for breakfast and another for dinner with no side effects. It really depends on how sensitive your dog's stomach is, but I don't see any problems with your plan!

We switched to adult at 8 months with all our pups

Usually with a small dog you wean them off the puppy formula between 10 and 12 months.
I believe the Orijen 6 Fish is all life stages, so if you wanted to, you could introduce this formula now.
