Hello,
My dog Oscar is just over 5 months now and I have been feeding him raw food. I started out with Primal nuggets but switched to Stella & Chewy's. I have been giving him Stella & Chewy's freeze-dried patties (he has tried lamb, chicken, and duck flavors) since it was slightly more economical than Primal because S&C comes in a 25 oz. size for some of the flavors vs the 14 oz. Primal. A local store that offers free delivery carries the frozen version of these patties and it seems they are a better value because I can feed my dog for about 12 days for $34 with the frozen vs 8 days for $47 with the freeze-dried. They also carry the frozen Primal patties for a few dollars more.
I would like to know:
- What are your thoughts on the quality of Stella & Chewy's vs Primal?
- What are your thoughts on frozen vs freeze-dried?
- Is he getting the proper nutrients with these foods, or does he need puppy-specific food?
(I also give him nuvet and a probiotic every morning)
Thank you for your time and any insight you can offer!
