I've heard this expression before and was wondering if anyone new where it came from?

To my knowledge, it is becasue of how they lay. Both front and back paws fully extened... they look like a frog.

I agree with 2bullymama, it is because of how they lay!

I think it could be because French people are called frogs. There are several reasons on the net as to why they are call frogs. Which one is right, I do not know.

The Brits call the french .. frogs .... so it makes sense to me!!!!!

They do look like little frogs when they lay down!!

Kazzy220 OK, I have heard several reason why the Brits call the French frogs, so what is the reason you have heard?
