We have bub who we love!!!! Hes 1yr4mo & does everything with us! Even vacations... Thinking of a second whos 10 months... Are 2 ALOT more to deal with than one? Honestly?
I'm in agreement with Alice. Plus it is a proven fact that dogs live longer when they have other canine companions. Unless you work from home and you are with the doggies all day it's always better for them to have a companion with them. They are social creatures and live in packs in the wild. I have always had multiple dogs. We have three now and while I love them all, I prefer two at a time. Less poop, food and vet bills.
Glad to see this thread, as we just added a 2nd as well. All the replies seem in line with what I believe also, even though I'm having a hard time with the adjustment myself because I'm so attached to our baby Leo!
I also have two at this time.... and they AT TIMES keep each other entertained and play great together, but there are still times they only want human attention. as for the daily care, if you are already doing it for one, two is nothing more
Well, I have 6 dogs so I think the more the merrier. Really, IMO, adding a second isn't too big a deal as long as you have the time to spend with them/train them and the finances to care for them.
That is funny you say that. The other day while I was in the "Community" tab and saw a photo under the random album photos of Ollie and for a split second I thought to myself "I don't remember taking that picture." And I didn't take the picture because the photo wasn't of Jax [duh moment].
