French Bulldog ear cleaning: how often do you actually do it, and what do you avoid?

I’ve been trying to get a better handle on French Bulldog ear care because the advice online seems pretty split.

Some people make it sound like routine ear cleaning should happen often, while others say it’s better to leave the ears alone unless there’s visible wax or a real reason to clean them. Since French Bulldogs can be prone to ear irritation, allergies, and infections, I’m trying to be careful not to overclean or use the wrong products.

I’m mostly trying to understand the safest routine, because I know ear problems can get missed early if you assume it’s just dirt.
