Hello from Greenville, SC

My name is Teresa and my family will be bringing home our first French Bulldog pup in 13 days. We have owned two a English bulldogs in the past. Both were rescues. We decided several years ago that our next bulldog would be a Frenchie and we would start at the puppy stage. We loved our bulldogs dearly, but like the size and personality of the French Bulldog. It was almost three years ago that we lost Molly, and it took awhile for us, especially my husband, to get ready to add another dog to the family. A neighbor was keeping her daughters five month-old Frenchie and that did it. After much searching, we found Pierce and can't wait to have him here. His name comes from the company that makes the fire engine my husband drives. Pierce will be joining our ten year-old dachshund Schatzi. She is not going to know what hit her!

Welcome to the site and Pierce is just too cute. You will love him. I have English bullies and Frenchies, and Frenchies are awesome. We have a 10 week old pup here at home and he is just the best. I like his name too, and I like Pierce fire trucks too.

Thank you, everyone, for the warm welcome. I joined a forum ten years ago for Dachshund owners and it was a lifesaver. I knew I had to find one for Frenchie owners, too. I love that Pierce's breeder is so good at sending me pictures and videos of him. I got a new one last night and one this morning, along with a message that he has decided it is fun to shred the puppy pads. It's going to be fun when he gets home!


This may be my favorite so far! He was determined to reach something that he wanted to chew...and was successful. Tomorrow he goes to the vet for his first shots. Can't wait to hear how much he weighs now.

I just looked at a website that is mentioned on here that makes coats especially for Frenchies. That may be the perfect thing for him, and he will be close to his full size when we will really need it.
