I got my frenchie at 13 weeks old and had him for a month. Since then I've been bathing him every week. One with dog shampoo and the next just a rinse. I also brush him before bathing. I was wondering if this is too much? I like it when Rocky's clean so I've been following this routine but been reading up lately with mixed reviews.

Thanks in advance!

We don't bath ours that much, maybe every other month or so. I don't like to bath them too much as it can dry out their skin.

Once a month should be good. Bathing them too often can dry out their skin.

Jax goes to Petsmart aka "the spa" once a month. Sometimes if he starts getting really itchy I will give him a bath at home with an anti-itch shampoo in between spa days. If he gets stinky, I use waterless shampoo that you spritz on.

We have Maple since November 25th and we have bathed her 3x so far.
I also heard that you shouldnt bath them to often!

Sounds good thanks everyone! I will bathe Rocky less unless need be!

We bathe our boys every 2 or 3 months as needed. We brush them weekly!

I was bathing our Marge more often when she was a puppy because she was always into something and still potty/kennel training. Now as an adult though we really don't bath her often at all. I brush and using wipes probably every week though. I wipe her face wrinkles and tail pocket on a weekly basis just to keep everything clean :) I love the spray I use too, it smells great! I believe we got it from amazon.

We bathe our Bella once a week now. She goes to swim therapy every Wednesday for her vertebrae issue and smells like the pool, but before this we bathed her every two weeks. The key is finding a good shampoo that won't dry her out but also won't make her itchy. In the year and half we have had her we have found we love Martha Stewarts sensitive skin solution. She uses it on her frenchies, who have sensitive skin. Bella also gets itchy because she needs her hair brushed very good. So when she gets a bath she gets brushed by her kong brush which helps her shed old hair!

Norm gets a bath once or twice a month depending on how dirty he is. Now that the backyards full of mud he will be getting them more often. I use a shampoo and conditioner called Zymox. It's made for dogs/cats with sensitive skin and can help with allergies.
