Jane does not get along with cats, so there should be absolutely no cats in her forever home. She also hasn’t had much experience with children, therefore it is recommended that there only be near-adult children in her new home. Jane does well with other dogs of any size. She just prefers if they are not high energy puppies because she doesn’t have the patience for them or for their crazy shenanigans.
Jane is a follower and a companion dog. She would do fine in any type of home whether or not she is the only dog. She definitely needs her human around a lot and for this reason she would do best with someone that works from home. Jane is happiest when she is closest to her human and will find ways to weasel in between any other dogs and you. She is not the possessive or jealous type. She also has not shown any resource guarding issues.
Jane is housebroken and crate trained. Her foster mom is happy to report that she gladly goes out first thing in the morning and again in the evening to do her business. She also has a break midday to go out. She also reports that Jane can get a bit barky in her crate after being there for several hours, but she thinks that she would even do well without a crate.
Jane would be fine in a house or an apartment. She would make a great office dog, though she might want to sit on your lap at your desk. She is petite and doesn’t take up a lot of space. She doesn’t really need a huge yard to exercise in.
