French Bulldogs are beloved for their charming personalities and adorable appearance, but like all dogs, they require regular exercise to stay healthy and happy. While Frenchies may not need as much activity as some other breeds due to their brachycephalic (short-nosed) structure, incorporating the right exercises into their routine can help maintain their overall well-being. Here are some of the best exercises recommended for your French Bulldog:

- Daily Walks: Daily walks are essential for keeping your Frenchie physically and mentally stimulated. Aim for at least two short walks per day, preferably in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cooler. Keep the walks short to avoid overexertion, especially in hot weather, and be mindful of your Frenchie's breathing and energy levels.
- Indoor Playtime: French Bulldogs are indoor dogs and can thrive in apartment living, making indoor playtime an excellent option for getting them moving. Invest in interactive toys like puzzle feeders or treat-dispensing toys to keep your Frenchie mentally engaged while also providing physical activity.
- Swimming: Swimming is an excellent low-impact exercise for French Bulldogs, as it provides a full-body workout without putting stress on their joints. If you have access to a dog-friendly pool or beach, consider taking your Frenchie for a swim session. Just be sure to supervise them closely, as Frenchies are not natural swimmers and may need assistance.
- Short Sprints: French Bulldogs may not be built for long-distance running, but they can enjoy short bursts of sprinting. Find a safe, enclosed area where your Frenchie can run off-leash for a few minutes at a time. This can help burn off excess energy and keep them physically fit.
- Agility Training: Agility training can be a fun and engaging way to exercise your Frenchie while also strengthening their muscles and improving their coordination. Set up a mini agility course in your backyard or attend a local dog agility class to introduce your Frenchie to new challenges and activities.
- Tug-of-War: Tug-of-war is a favorite game for many French Bulldogs and provides a great upper body workout. Use a sturdy rope or tug toy and engage in a gentle game of tug with your Frenchie. Just be sure to establish clear rules and boundaries to prevent any unwanted behavior.
