Konami is an example of the safety that rescue organizations offers to the forlorn. When she retired as a breeding dog, she found her way to rescue and was adopted. Then, when her owner was moving to college, she was surrendered again to rescue. It’s unfortunate when people cannot keep their pets, but at FBRN, we will do our best to find her a responsible, loving forever home.
This lovely brindle pied girl is a mature lady at 7 years old and has all the basics down: she is house trained, crate trained and understands simple requests like “sit” or “come.” Like anyone else who is easing into her golden years, Konami has a creaky body, namely, ear and skin infections, hip dysplasia and a bit of a tricky back. The good news is that she manages well with fish oil and glucosamine and is not in pain.
Konami has no problems with other dogs or kids as long as no one asks her to do anything more strenuous than a short walk and gentle play. At her foster home, she’s been rolling around with her foster sister and loves squeaky balls (who doesn’t?), bones and stuffies. Her foster family reports that she is a very sweet girl who is very independent and doesn’t need her people 24/7 but is content sitting at your feet at the end of the day.
