Marrow bone

Hello, I purchased a couple marrow bones for our 15 week old Frenchi in an effort to save the furniture. My question is they still have some meat on them and I was wondering if I should strip them clean before giving him one. Thanks in advance.

Thanks everyone, he sure loves them! We give it to him for about an hour or so, wash it off, then refreeze it. After the 3rd day I chuck it. Does this sound like a good practice?

I always get a size they finish in one sitting... I then rinse stuff with peanut butter and give as another treat during week. Others I rinse and leave for them to chew on
