Adoption fee $500

Location: Houston area

Miss Ellie was surrendered to us by a good Samaritan who rescued her from a backyard breeder. She came into rescue with urine stains on her back legs and feet. She had yeast build up on her skin, ear infections and ulcers in both eyes. Her ear infection has responded well to medication and her eye ulcers are almost gone. She was used her entire life for producing puppies. She has hardly any tooth surface on the bottom of her jaw from chewing on the wires of her cage. She came to us with an urinary tract infection. She is finishing her meds, but her chronic UTI and living outside have set her back in the potty training department. She is smart and is learning fast, but this is an issue her new family will have to continue to work on. Miss Ellie is so sweet and loves people and other dogs. She has enjoyed her new life in foster care of being an inside pet. Ellie loves nothing more than to follow her people around and see what they are doing. When separated from her people she can vocalize for a bit so an apartment is probably not the best situation for her new home. She is learning to play with toys and give kisses. She has a crooked smile and her tongue sticks out to the side in the most endearing way. She would like nothing more than a family of her own that will love her the rest of her life knowing she will never be used to make money for someone again.
