Someone from a meetup I belong to reached out to me saying that their circumstances have changed and they can no longer keep their Frenchie. They are hoping I can help them find a good home for him. During the meetup he played really well with Radar and I have been toying with the idea of getting a second because Radar is so social. Thoughts? What questions should I ask? I was thinking of a two week trial period and if it doesn't work referring them to the French bulldog rescue network. This is just so out of the blue for me.

They sure would keep each other company.... since they already know each other the trail might be a good idea to see how you can handle them and how they get along in the house. Set good limitations and stay consistent with them and it should be clear to you if it will be a good match

That's sad they have to give up their dog. If you do decide to take it, I would make sure you are clear on the health of the dog and any mecical needs it has. A trial would be good to see if they would be compatible in your home. Just go slow bringing the new dog into your home so that there are no issues with toys, beds, bones, etc. Good luck and I hope it all works out well. If not, FBRN is a great resource and very organized. They will make sure to find him a good home. (I just became a volunteer for them)

You've had some good advice. It sounds like it could be a wonderful addition to your family!

Having several Frenchies is awesome. We have 5 adults and two 6 week old pups in our house and they all get along well. I would do like you want and do a trial with them and make sure they get along in your home. It's always nice to at least have two, so they can keep each other company.
