Need more fibre

Hey everyone,

Our little girl has been scooting and the vet just expressed her anal glands. They told us to increase fibre in her diet. We are feeding raw and adding pumpkin. Just wondering if there’s better veggies to help with bulking up her poop to help express her glands on her own.

How are her stools? If they are firm enough, her anal glands should express themselves.

What proteins are you feeding? Are you feeding a commercial raw? If so, what is fiber content? You can also try adding in a pinch of unsweetened coconut chips which is good for fiber.

My dog is on Only Natural EasyRaw which has about 7% fibre. How much does your dog food have?
