Possibly getting a second Frenchie today

Everyone cross your fingers, prayers up this goes well. I’ve been looking for a friend for my Hugo and I think I’ve found the perfect sister for him. She was born April 15, Hugo was born May 6 and it just seems too perfect to be true. Exactly what I was looking for.

She’s a blue fawn to Hugo’s fawn brindle and hopefully they’ll be a match. They’ll be meeting each other this evening and if all goes smoothly they’ll be siblings by the end of the day. I’m so nervous-excited. Barely slept last night.

It was instant and magical, they totally hit it off. I had never seen anything so pure I’m literally crying lol The family giving her up has a son that’s allergic and they want a proper goodbye but she’ll be homed with me and Hugo on Sunday. My heart is so full. When we picked them up to separate them and make them catch their breath they would not take their eyes off each other. Just pure magic. Perfect friend. She’s a Silver Blue Fawn with green eyes named Stormy.

Whoooooo boy that was an insane 5 hours. They did.not.stop. from the second she arrived until I turned off all the lights and prayed they would settle down. Now they’re competitively snoring.

My word. I knew it would be rough but that was something else. Looking forward to many more crazy hours until they settle down and get into a groove, just hope I keep my head on. I know it’ll be worth it in the long run, Hugo seemed to have a big smile the whole time and she definitely needs some exercise.

Sometimes playtime makes me wonder if they’re really getting along, I bought them the exact same chew and they both want the other’s — then nap time comes around and they’re two cuddle bugs. 2 peas, one pod.

Thanks all for the reassurance. I was a little more worried because I noticed sores on Maple’s cheeks (renamed her at the behest of my sister) and I was thinking Hugo was being a bit too rough during playtime. The sores didn’t quite seem like bite marks though-more like hotspots-so I ended up bringing Maple to the vet today as she was waaaaay overdue for vaccinations and deworming as well. Turns out they were hotspots that were really inflamed so I have a cream and antibiotics to treat her with and we will see how that goes. Can’t believe I almost blamed my sweet Hugo for that haha.
