Hello folks!

Newbie here! My new little guy Rico is coming home in about 8 weeks.

He isn't chocolate, he's a "standard brindle" but he seems much more red or mahogany than most of the regular brindles I've seen—

I'm having a hard time imagining his full grown color....every time I google Brindle French Bulldog, I either see a darker variation than Rico appears to be, or I am led to chocolate brindles...

Anyone own a Frenchie that had similar color to Rico as a puppy, and can share an adult photo would be GREATLY appreciated!

he does look red brindle to me, but the pictures are tough to determine.

So funny bullymama—I was actually quoting you in your previous reply to my "new member thread" as this came through!

I thought your two kids looked more heavily brindled, and thought you'd have some valuable insight!

Look forward to other members opinion!

We 'adopted' (owner surrender to our vet... he gave him to us) Chelios at 8 months old so we did not get to see him at the young baby/puppy stage therefore I am not sure what his coloring was at that age.... but I love the brindle babies

Since Rico's dad is a reddish warm color fawn and his mom is a dark dark brindle— I actually found this photo on a random breeders website (not where Rico is from) that was captioned "tiger brindle red/fawn"....to the best of my search ability I am guessing this is a good representation of what his color will be?

Below I included a few photos.

1. The random photo I found of a "tiger brindle".

2. Rico's dad.

3. Rico's mom.

4. Rico.

Any thoughts?

Jake's sisters were brindle and we found one of them recently at a meet up. The pictures aren't great but maybe you can get some idea.

Just found this photo.... I notice that this dog doesn't have a "chocolate or liver" nose and eyes.... So maybe this is a good representation of Rico's ultimate adult color? This dog seems to be red/mahogany....

Your thoughts?

Hmm, If I recall correctly, "brindle" is not a color, but a pattern. Someone correct me if I`m wrong. :)

Hard to tell from the pics, but he looks like he will be a little darker "tiger" brindle, as some of the pics you have shown. Hopefully his nose will remain black, as brown or liver is an undesirable color, in brindles.

Here are some pics at 4 weeks old.... Seems he looks a little darker now?
