Does anyone know of a raw grind I can buy in bulk that does not contain any extra ingredients like fruits and veggies? I'm still having a bit of trouble with Daphne being a little itchy. I want something more economical but what I've found so far has lots of yummy things added. Also, for example, there is a site with a duck formula and it says $4.35 for price. I'm assuming that is per serving, but I couldn't find any info about how MUCH to serve. The whole package looks to be about 15 ounces, so I'd divide it over two meals, correct?

I know dogs' mouths and breath are supposed to be cleaner/fresher on raw and less "dog smell" too, but Daphne is quite stinky! I give her a bath every two weeks and she starts smelling after only a few days. She's been to the vet, her ears are perfect and they said she looks great. No sores or missing hair. I'm hoping to find a plain raw grind that I can put her on and see some improvement with her casual itching and odor. Thanks for any help :-)

I would think the pricing is by pound, I buy raw and the duck is 4.58 per pound.
A pound last a day for my two ... Cheli gets 1/3 cup and Lambeau gets 2/3 cup so the one pound bag is enough for both their daily meals.
I noticed when I was using turkey Cheli's breath was horrible, I switched to chicken, fish, duck rotation and it cleared up

Hi there-
Does yours have fruits and veggies in it?
That is interesting about the breath thing improving with a change of protein!

I think Primal has some grinds. If you want raw without all the extras, Vital Essentials has patties as well as Tucker's. Do you give Daphne any raw bones to chew on? They are good for cleaning teeth. Jax's breath is stinkier than Louie's and Louie still gets kibble in the am.

Check out these places from DogAware.com: Raw Dog Food Co-ops and Local Groups

North Carolina
1)Triad (NC) Raw Food for Dogs Raw pet food deliveries to the Triangle and Triad areas of North Carolina. Primary vendors: Ross-Wells Products and Aristopets.
2)Raw Feeders of Asheville New as of 2018 for those in western NC.
3)Triangle Raw Not a co-op, but can help find sources in the research triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and the surrounding area) of North Carolina

Be careful which bones you give your dog to chew on- marrow bones , frozen raw, are suitable, as mentioned before.

Hey there,
I currently feed Primal and it has all kinds of fruits and veggies and supplements in it. I don't know if that is why she is still itchy sometimes. It's also crazy expensive. I priced out a raw product that will deliver for less than half of what I've been paying, but they also put in a bunch of extras. I do occasionally give her marrow bones but noticed she rubs her face along furniture and the carpet afterwards, so didn't know if I should continue.

Answers also has a straight formula with no veggies or fruit but they are limited on their protein choices.
