Hi, I'm curious if anyone uses/prefers one over the other and why. We've used Trifexis before without any issue, but I see that Sentinel is much more affordable. I know Sentinel doesn't kill adult fleas, but that isn't an issue for us so I'm considering making a switch. Would love to get everyone else's thoughts if you have experience with the products. Thanks!

We have used Sentinel for years.... no fleas, no issues

We use Sentinel. They are both so similar that it doesn't matter to most people. I will say we have seen more adverse reactions with the use of Trifexis than Sentinel and Sentinel is about half the price so my vote is Sentinel.

I'm glad to say we don't treat for fleas because we don't have them!

I do want to say how handsome your boy Louie is!

We use Sentinel and it makes fleas infertile, and we have never had any problems with it. Trifexis killed a friend of ours, beautiful two year old bully, so I wouldn't use it if you payed me.

Thanks everyone, I was hoping to hear positive things about Sentinel. Horrible to hear about your friends bully. That's awful! We'll definitely be making a switch!

I'm at the dermatologist now, Jax is getting an allergy test and he has recommended the Sentinel. I'm so glad I had seen this post and remembered about it. Right now Jax gets Frontline Plus and a heartworm pill once a month but this seems to take care of both.

For you raw feeders... I noted this in the Sentinel info: not feed your pet uncooked meat or fish. ???
