Can Frenchies clean themselves? I know 99% of English Bulldogs cannot, so I was wondering if it was the same for Frenchies.

Interesting .. I don't have a Frenchie (yet) .. but I would have thought they could because they just seem much leaner and more agile! But I'm sure some acutal Frenchie owners will be along soon to let us know!!!

Fiona can clean her face sort of (except under her cheeks) but she can't really reach her special bits so we have to wipe that area to keep it clean!

Buster hasn't tried to clean himself--that's Ruggles' job! He is only 4 mos. old and he is a half Frenchie!

Bernie has only just learnt that he can lick his front paws lol. (8 months old)
He occasionally will try and chase a back leg but can never get it haha.
He's far too chunky for flexibility of any kind

My first Frenchie, Bella, would clean herself. We use to say she was half Frenchie, half cat . LOL

I have never noticed Hazel cleaning herself.

Quella just started cleaning herself and it's only been her lady bits, twice. I had a total proud mom moment that she could even get in that position. lympics: She is 4.5 months old.

Maple does it ! :yes: When she was a baby I somehow assumed she couldnt so I wiped her private parts clean but then I noticed they stayed clean and a few days later I saw her clean herself the first time. Shes been doing it ever since. It does look awkward though sometimes because she has to kinda roll backwards on her bum to get down there

Yep W & H clean themselves and each other .....although Winston sometimes isn't keen to be cleaned my Hugo when Hugo has managed to eat his own poo

Isabelle half way kind of sniffed herself, didn't try to clean herself... Not sure if she can or can't, but she doesn't bother. Haha!

Zeta cannot clean herself so we keep wipes next to the door and wipe her bottom after she goes potty.
