So, few days down and things are starting to settle down
Day 1: Mayhem! Moses had just spent 4 days in kennel during our trip to UK. So no need to say that he was hyper when he got home.
Day before we had picked up Oscar and let him roam around the house. We did the initial introduction on our front yard, both leashed. Then went to backyard and let Oscar off the leash. Moses was hyper and way too excited to be let run free.
Then we took both boys inside and after a while let both boys off the leash. Moses was trying to constantly mount Oscar, so we put another boy behind a gate ,which luckily we had earlier installed between two rooms. That helped a lot to get them possibility to sniff each others through the gate. In no time both were laying by the gate.
The feeling; what have we gotten ourselves into!
Day 2: Settling down. Moses was very fixated and obsessed over the new guy. Kept trying to hump him, so we took both boys for a walk for a bonding session. That went surprisingly well. Moses still didn't want the new guy to come too close to him but didn't show any sign of aggression either. He just wanted to observe Oscar from slight distance. Occasional break time with gate was still used.
Day 3: We got Moses's humping tendencies under control and he started to listen firm NO, when he tried to mount Oscar. They started to attempt playing together and atmosphere was much calmer. Couple of times they both growled over Himalayan chew, but that was just one occasion to set the limits. Moses started to let Oscar to come closer and friendly.
Day 4: Breakthrough! First time in my life I witnessed Frenchie boosting with two frenchies
All rugs were rolled when those two went for a crazy run around the house! Phew! I have been in awe, so forgot to take proper photos or video, but definitely will do so now when things seem to go to the right direction.
The feeling: maybe we will manage this after all
Now crossing fingers that things will progress from here on without any major set backs...
