I need some help.. Ive noticed chewys ears are a rusty red & VERY dirty and smell, yuckie. Also, Lucy has been licking down there alot & its also rusty red. Is there any at home remedies to help take away the infection?

Not sure about home remedies but Jax recently had a really bad case of yeast overgrowth on his paws and ears and was put on medication to get rid of it.

I heard cleaning the ears with Hydrogen Peroxide/water dilution helps clean them, is this true?

Witch hazel helps a lot, but is does sound like you may want to check the food, she could have a sensitivity to something there. My girl is a yeatsy mess and I have found that avoiding white potato has helped a lot!

Apple cider vinegar (unfiltered variety) works wonders. You can use it in the ears, as a body rinse, and you can add it to their food and water. Sometimes though, if the yeast has gotten really bad, you may need a non home remedy approach to get things under control.

For a shampoo, I highly recommend Eqyss Micro-tek ... It is a horse shampoo, but the company does have a dog variety as well...same formulation for both though. It works wonders on skin conditions and is gentle enough to use regularly without drying the skin.

For ears, my favorite yeast buster is Zymox Otic HC 1% solution. It has worked better than prescription products and is truly amazing stuff!
