Adoption fee $300
Location: Houston area
Charlie was pulled from a local shelter. He came to us with many medical issues. Most were routine that just had gotten out of control without the proper care. He has dry eye that will require daily drops for life. He also had a nasty ear infection and skin infection that we were able to clear up with medications and baths. His nails were also very bad, but he was good about letting us trim them. He does have congenital spinal malformations in his lower thoracic spine. This gives him some instability and a wobbly walk. He gets around fine and has control of his bowel and bladder, but he needs a home that understands spinal issues. He could have more issues in the future, but that is hard to predict. He has been neutered, gotten his vaccines and his microchip. He is a funny guy, buy has some trust issues. He can get upset and become snappy. He has never bitten anyone and we think this is just a defense strategy from his previous life. Since he does have some behavioral and medical issues we will be looking for a home without children or large dogs. He does like dogs and to play, but dogs that are his same size will be safer for his spinal issues. He does have limited hearing and sight due to his dry eye and ear infections.
