My little Louie (6 months) started regurgitating after drinking and occasionally eating. I took him to the vet and they did xrays and a barium X-ray and it turns out he has a deformed esophagus. It’s not mega esophagus but rather a pocket or dipping esophagus. He is going to go to a specialist for a scope to further look at his esophagus to see what can be done and a possible biopsy but I haven’t booked the appointment yet. For now I have been using elevated dishes and have started trying him in a Bailey chair, but it needs a few adjustments to fit him better. The poor little stinker. I find putting water in his food helps him to slow down drinking and eating and helps him keep it down. Other than finding little puddles of puke around you wouldn’t know anything is wrong with the little popcorn fart. [emoji23]

I am so sorry to hear this and I agree, he is lucky to have you. I would contact the breeder and let them know about this problem as it is congenital. Good luck and we're sending good vibes that he continues to do well!

Sending healthy vibes Louie's way - hope to hear he is doing well with all the accommodations you've been making to aid his condition.

Well tomorrow is Louie’s day. We have to go about 2.5 hours away to Toronto for a fluoroscope. Hoping to get some answers!
