i have a 6 1/2 month year old frenchie and i picked her up from the farm yesterday...

she is a beautiful, smart and calm temperament dog. it surprises me actually. she is very tame.

since im from the city, the streets are overwhelming, the new experiences are overwhelming. and when i got her, she would stand by my side and follow me around because i was sitting next to her in a 2 hour car ride puking and i was taking care of her in the back. then when i had to go to sleep (i bought a temporary bed) she slept on it while i was sleeping but she kept coming back to my bed and finally puts her paws on top of my bed...she clearly wanted to sleep with me so i let her sleep next to me. that day she hasnt pooped or peed' but she did in the morning/afternoon before i picked her up around 4pm at her original home.

now come today, i have the harness + leash for her, i took her outside 3 times, one 30 mins, one hour and 20 mins. i was hoping she would poop / pee...but she didnt, and before the 3rd walk at night...she peed' on my carpet (lucky i watched cesar millan vids, dont get mad...stay calm and clean it immediately) so annie went under my arm and sat...she knew that wasnt good as i cleaned.

so far she hasnt pooped today at all and im kinda worried. im aware she is curious + nervous at the same time when i walk her outside, since she never wore a harness + leash...and the city noises and all that makes her nervous

she is house trained already. so what/when can i expect her to poop? and what kind of signals / gestures do french bulldogs make when they wanna go outside to poop/pee?

i live in an apartment, 3rd floor. Really need some help understanding the fundamentals of how to get her to relax and poop when i walk her outside.

i plan to walk her 3 times a day.

well. i took her for a walk this morning as soon we both woke up...in fact she was looking at me when i woke up...hehe so cute!

anyways i took her for walk and finally she took a poop in a soil/white dots (fertilizer) im guessing) area. whew.

These little ones are tough... my boy is 3 yrs old ans still does NOT signal to go. We have him on a stick schedule to make sure of no issues in the house and have develop such a rountine with him that we kind of know when he is due to go out

Frenchies can be hard to potty train sometimes. Your little one has been on the farm all her life and now in a big noisy place, so you will have to pretty much retrain her. They also make fake grass indoor potty boxes you might want to look into for her. Our 9 week old pup Henri is doing very good with potty training, but we need to stay on his schedule. Hillary is 4 years old and we just recently got her a few months ago, and she will occasionally go on the carpet, so we need to watch her and retrain her. It takes time and patience, but they will get it.
