Hello,

New to the forums and am looking to get a frenchie puppy soon and have it narrowed down to a few. One however had a hernia which I know is common but am curious to know if they can lead to any future health problems or is a sign of possible problems in the future in general.

Any advice is appreciated!

Nope, no problems at all, once it is fixed. Sometimes if they are small enough they can close up on their own, if not, just get it fixed when you get them spayed or neutered, if you are going to do that.

Thank you! The pup actually had the hernia fixed but I wanted to make sure this wasn't a sign of problems to come...

My 7 yr. old EB had a hernia when we bought him. We had it fixed when we neutered him and have had no hernia related problems! Congratulations on getting a puppy!
