mucus after stenotic nares surgery

My frenchie had stenotic nares surgery on Monday, it is now Thursday and his nose seems to be very stuffed up with mucus and is starting to look a little crusty. The mucus is clear and when he goes for a walk and start to pant he gets air mucus bubbles coming out. Has anyone else experienced this and does this look normal or infected? is there any way to help clean the mucus out?

I took him to the vet yesterday and they said that it was normal but it looks bad to me.

As long as clear there is no infection.... I would not walk him for at least two weeks . Lessens chase of inflammation
