Sadly, RC food at least in the US is nothing but fillers and chicken just doesn’t do well with bulldogs of any type. You should think about changing her food to a higher quality kibble if that’s what you wanna stay with and start out with duck or turkey.
Is this just for the regurgitation/gagging? I’m not sure if changing the food would help with his breathing issues . He’s been on this food since we got him at 9 weeks and has always done fairly ok on it as far as I can tell

yes I know chicken can most definitely be high in the allergy scale that’s for sure , I guess I just didn’t think the two could be related ( more so for the airway issues ) . I will definitely look into it when we visit the surgeon in a week , thanks for the tip!
Just a heads up… vet will probably tell you to go on a prescription food, which is no better than what you’re already feeding. If they say it’s not the food that doesn’t mean they are right just keep in mind a vet just like a human doctor gets about two hours of nutritional training during their schooling.Oh that’s terrible , I’m sorry to hear that

So happy to read you finally have answers and a plan forwardBig update time! So after almost 3 weeks of confusion as to why my little guy was not getting better after BOAS surgery we finally have some answers! He had his CT scan done today as well as a rhinoscopy and gastroscopy. He was found to have enlarged tonsils ( as if having his nares, soft palate and laryngeal saccules done wasn’t enough!) as well as a thickened soft palate and a sliding hiatal hernia. He had his tonsils removed and is staying overnight in hospital. They will be sending him home with steroids , anti biotics and medication for his hernia. Depending on how he heals he may need a revision of the soft palate if the problems persist. It’s relieving to finally have some answers and know that I wasn’t over reacting . I’m hoping that what was done today along with the management of the hernia will be enough to keep him happy and comfortable and that a revision will not be needed. Please keep lil’ Louie in your thoughts
